Mad Men is back!

Season 5 of AMC's Mad Men premiers tonight and I am so excited! My mom has watched it from the beginning and had always told me I would love it, so when I saw that it was available for instant streaming on Netflix, we started watching it and Chris & I were both hooked! Welcome back, Don Draper!

Happy Spring!

It is officially spring!! I am loving the gorgeous weather we are having & the longer days. We can take Shugar for walks while it is still light outside and are able to get some outside projects done after work so we don't have to save them all for the weekend. I started pulling out my spring/summer wardrobe over the weekend since is seems the warm weather in Alabama is here to stay! This spring brings some special events for us; we will celebrate our first wedding anniversary in April and welcome our first niece in May!

Slice Pizza & Brew

I have been wanting to try out Slice for awhile and last night we got the chance. I am happy to say we will definitely be going back. The food was delicious!

We had wings and the cheesy garlic bread as appetizers, the garlic bread was wonderful. I didn't have any of the wings, but they seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who had them. Chris had the spinach salad and loved it. Almost everyone at the table got a different kind of pizza and no one was disappointed. They have an extensive beer selection including several locally brewed beers. I can't wait to go back when it gets warmer, they have a nice little porch area. If you are ever in downtown Birmingham, you should definitely stop by.
